Save The Ground With Synthetic Grass

There are quite a few reasons given for deciding to replace natural grass with synthetic grass in and around the home, playground or golf course. For some it’s to do with choosing a low maintenance approach to their garden, others see it as a way of preserving water and still more see it as an environmentally friendly option over running the lawnmower every couple of weeks.

In some situations such as golf courses and main thoroughfares in public places, the choice of installing synthetic grass sometimes comes down to laying a surface that will be able to cope with the amount of people who will be using the area. In some parts of a golf course where players walk or drive their buggies the grass comes in for a real pounding and it doesn’t take long, particularly when there has been a drop of rain, for the grass to be worn completely away and you’re left with a boggy mess to slog through.

Similarly at fairgrounds and circuses and the like, the main thoroughfares that see a lot of traffic are the ideal places for laying synthetic grass. The artificial grass surfaces are more durable than natural grass and the nylon blades will withstand a lot in those high traffic areas.

Rather than destroy the grass and the underlying soil, a temporary solution with synthetic grass makes a lot of sense. Not only will it ensure that everyone who uses the area won’t be ruining their shoes, it will also ensure that the ground will not be completely ruined for weeks or months after whatever event was on has finished.
